Visiting FOUNDRY:
Welcome to FOUNDRY! Here's a few new favorites from our store.
This week, we're rocking a reclaimed wood tulip table, gorgeous gold leaf chairs, and another terrifically turquoise pair. Our personal favorite this time around is a repurposed cash register lamp, locally made and uniquely chic. Cha-ching!

ESTATE LIQUIDATION
Do you love unique and interesting furnishings but have no time to go look for them in antique stores, auctions, and wherever else it is they hide around the country? (We wouldn't either, if we were anyone else!)
Fortunately for you, that's basically our life. Send us your wishlist and let us know if you're looking for a something as specific as a 40's bakelite tube radio (in marbelized green, please!), or something as general as a seriously chic dinette set. We'll check off the items on your list for you, refurbish them to their full beauty (if they even need it), and then let you know that, hey, we totally found that crazy radio you wanted! Email your wish list to yvette@foundrybyfreeman.com.

We want to get to know our design clients so that we can honestly understand their needs for the space, whether it's tiny townhome tea-room, or grand decor for a new restaurant opening. The design process is unique to each client, and we strive to understand the needs and desires they have for the individual space.
Yvette has been involved in interior design for over fifteen years. What started as a passion has now developed into an exceptional talent! She has been featured in ABC Extreme Makeover, was involved in designing the Washington Area Human Society space, and continues working with several personal clients in the area.
Initial design consultation consists of a three-hour block of time for $425. If you then choose to purchase items from us, the $425 can be used towards those purchases. "Miles Redd, hands down." When Megan isn't in the store, she's busy working on her menswear blog, or slinging drinks at our local bar. To contact Megan directly, email her at megan@FoundrybyFreeman.com

Curry hails from the rural town of Amelia, VA and is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Architecture at Howard University, Washington, D.C. Eventually, he plans to launch a multidisciplinary creative firm specializing in installation design, industrial design, and creative media. When not working hard in the studio, Curry enjoys cycling, photography, and freelancing graphic design.

Megan (pictured here with her pup Marley) is a D.C. native who had a brief stint in Architecture, working for some of the largest firms in the area before falling into antiques. You'll find Megan at Foundry during the week, usually re-arranging furniture or creating cute vignettes on tabletops. Her design aesthetic leans towards the masculine side, but if you asked her who her designer crush was, she'd tell you

For the last 20 years, Yvette Freeman has been rummaging through barns, warehouses, and flea markets across the country and in Europe on a quest to find the most unique furniture and home décor. Her efforts finally came together in the Fall of 2011, when she opened her Washington, D.C. store in the hottest design and furniture district of 14th and U Street NW.

Ash is a mid-western girl that moved to Washington to study Interior Industrial Design at the Corcoran. She recently took a hiatus from working inside the store, but in the meantime she writes our blog and makes sure the website doesn't explode, too!
